Togmah Foundation Commended for Supporting High-Achieving Nanung Students
The Leadership and Members of the Nanumba North Youth Parliament (NNYP) have commended Mr. Ahmed Dasana and the Togmah Foundation for their contribution towards educational development in Nanung.
The commendation follows the Foundation’s initiative to honour and support 19 high-achieving students from Nanung who recorded impressive aggregates ranging from 6 to 10 in the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
According to the Nanumba North Youth Parliament, the initiative is a significant investment in the educational future of young people in the area and deserves wider recognition. The beneficiaries include boys who obtained aggregates between 6 and 9 and girls who recorded between 6 and 10.
The Youth Parliament further applauded the Togmah Foundation for its pledge to provide full scholarships to beneficiaries who choose Science-related programmes at the Senior High School level.
It said the scholarship support would provide an important boost to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in Nanung, while motivating other students to strive for academic excellence.
The Nanumba North Youth Parliament has also appealed to other sons and daughters of Nanung, leaders, philanthropists and organisations at home and in the diaspora to emulate the initiative by supporting students through scholarships, sponsorship packages and mentorship programmes.
It said sustained investment in education, career development and personal growth would help create better opportunities for the next generation and contribute to the long-term development of Nanung.
