Tamale Mayor Welcomes Local Government Service Head on Familiarisation Tour
The Mayor of Tamale, Mohammed Abubakari Takoro, has welcomed the Head of the Local Government Service, Professor Lord Mensah, and his delegation to the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly as part of a familiarisation tour of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the Northern Region.
The visit provided an opportunity for Professor Mensah to engage with management and staff of the Assembly and gain firsthand insight into the operations and challenges confronting the Metropolitan Assembly.
Discussions during the visit focused on measures to strengthen institutional capacity, improve service delivery and enhance local governance.
The Tamale Mayor, Mohammed Abubakari Takoro, expressed appreciation to the Head of the Local Government Service and his delegation for taking the time to visit the Assembly.
He said the engagement would help deepen collaboration between the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly and the Local Government Service in addressing challenges and improving the delivery of services to residents.
The Mayor reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to working closely with the Local Government Service to advance development and improve the living conditions of the people of Tamale.
