Member of Parliament for Tamale North Constituency and Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini, has supported over 270 tertiary students in the constituency with more than GH¢400,000 to offset their school fees.
The intervention forms part of the MP’s continued commitment to promoting education and supporting young people in the constituency, particularly students facing financial difficulties.
The funds were disbursed to beneficiaries through a process led by the Tamale North Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Alhassan Nayi, popularly known as Alhaj Ngbagu, and the Constituency Secretary, Alhaji Inusah Salman Nyanshegdoo.
The support is expected to provide significant relief to students and their parents and help ensure that financial challenges do not force beneficiaries to discontinue their education.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to Alhassan Suhuyini for what they described as his continuous investment in education and the development of young people in the constituency.
The MP believes education is critical to the development of the constituency, stressing that educating a child is an investment in the future of Tamale North.
The constituency leadership also commended Ward and Branch Executives who contributed to the successful implementation of the initiative.
