Managing Director of GCB Bank, Farid Alhassan, has engaged key stakeholders and visited the bank’s branches in Wa and Navrongo as part of efforts to strengthen relationships, assess operations and improve service delivery across northern Ghana.

The tour, which covered Wa, Navrongo and Bawku, also provided an opportunity for the bank’s management to interact with business partners, government officials and institutional leaders on issues relating to their respective operations and the communities they serve.

In a statement, Mr. Alhassan said the journey was centred on listening to stakeholders, strengthening relationships and maintaining close connections with customers and communities.

Charles Lwanga Puozuing; Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Nurah Issah Danwaana; and Vice Chancellor of Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University, Professor Hamidatu Saaka Darimani. The delegation also visited Azumah Resources.

The team further engaged Donmuah Son Company Limited and visited GCB Bank’s Wa and Navrongo branches as part of efforts to strengthen stakeholder relations and assess the bank’s operations. In Bawku, the delegation visited the bank’s temporarily closed branch to assess the prevailing security situation and explore the conditions required for a safe resumption of operations.

Mr. Alhassan described the engagements as valuable opportunities to gain fresh perspectives and deepen the bank’s understanding of the needs of the people and businesses it serves.

He stressed that the bank’s “Extra Mile” initiative goes beyond travelling long distances, explaining that its true purpose is to bring the institution closer to its customers and communities through listening, engagement and stronger relationships.
