Bawumia joins NPP executives for Muslim thanksgiving prayers in Kintampo

Former Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has joined the party’s national executives and other leading members for Muslim thanksgiving prayers in Kintampo in the Bono East Region.
The prayers, held during Jummah on Friday, October 16, 2026, formed part of the party’s National Muslim Thanksgiving Prayers following its successful national delegates conference.

In a statement, Dr Bawumia said prayers were offered for the newly elected party officers at all levels, as well as for the peace, unity and progress of Ghana.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Kintampo and NPP supporters for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and the party delegation during the visit.
The thanksgiving prayers brought together party executives, stalwarts and members of the Muslim community to seek Allah’s guidance and blessings for the party’s newly elected leadership and the nation.

The event also provided an opportunity for the party to express appreciation to Allah following its national delegates conference and to seek continued unity and strength as it prepares for future political engagements.
