Ali Suraj Pays Tribute to Late Vice President Aliu Mahama

The National Nasara Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ali Suraj, has paid a solemn tribute to the late former Vice President of Ghana, H.E. Alhaji Aliu Mahama, describing him as a father and mentor whose guidance and support played a significant role in shaping his life.
Ali Suraj made the visit to the tomb of the late Vice President at his private residence in Tamale earlier today as part of his ongoing tour of the Northern Region.

He was accompanied by Alhaji Abdul Rahaman, NPP Vice Chairman for the Northern Region, a family member of the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama, and also his campaign coordinator.
Reflecting on his relationship with the late former Vice President, Ali Suraj said Alhaji Aliu Mahama’s mentorship, guidance and support had contributed immensely to his personal and political journey.
He described the late statesman as a father figure whose counsel and encouragement continued to influence his life and leadership.
According to Ali Suraj, Alhaji Aliu Mahama’s legacy remains significant, particularly his commitment to national development, discipline, integrity and good governance.
He said although the former Vice President had passed on, the values he championed continued to inspire those who had the opportunity to learn from him.

Ali Suraj expressed his appreciation for the mentorship he received from the late Vice President and said he remained committed to carrying forward the lessons and values instilled in him.
He subsequently prayed for Allah’s continued mercy upon the soul of the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama, asking the Almighty to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus as his eternal abode.
“May Almighty Allah continue to grant him mercy and make Jannah his eternal abode. Ameen,” he prayed.
