AfriTech Hub Ghana and Partners Hold Graduation and Exhibition Ceremony for ACTIVATE Cohort 3 in Nanton

AfriTech Hub Ghana, in partnership with WUSC and Social Enterprise Ghana, and with funding from the Mastercard Foundation, has held a graduation and exhibition ceremony for beneficiaries of the ACTIVATE Cohort 3 programme in Nanton.
The initiative equipped 60 young women with practical agricultural, technical and vocational skills aimed at enhancing their economic independence and improving their livelihoods. As part of the ceremony, the graduates showcased a variety of locally made products developed during their intensive hands-on training.
Speaking at the event, the Member of Parliament for Nanton, Hon. Dr. Mohammed Sherif Abdul-Haliq, commended AfriTech Hub Ghana, led by Dr. Arnold Mashud Abukari, and its partners for their commitment to youth skills development, entrepreneurship and women's empowerment.

He encouraged the graduates to put the knowledge and skills they had acquired to productive use by expanding their economic activities and building sustainable sources of income.
Dr. Abdul-Haliq noted that initiatives such as the ACTIVATE programme could play a significant role in reducing unemployment, promoting entrepreneurship and helping address some of the social challenges facing young people in the constituency.
The Nanton MP also disclosed that the Youth Employment Agency has so far engaged more than 200 young people in the Nanton Constituency, adding that efforts are underway to create additional employment opportunities for the youth.
The graduation and exhibition ceremony brought together the Member of Parliament, the District Chief Executive, representatives of partner organisations, graduates and other stakeholders to celebrate the achievements of the young women and their journey towards economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
